Dubai: Approval for a new visa scheme that will allow retired expats to stay in the UAE after retirement. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved a special residence visa for retirees. Sheikh Mohammed made the announcement after a cabinet meeting at the UAE pavilion in Expo 2020 on Tuesday.
Sheikh Mohammed wrote on Twitter that he had approved the conditions for granting residency to retired expatriates and welcomed everyone to the country. In 2018, it was announced that a five-year retirement visa would be issued to those over 55 years of age.
